Grounds Maintenance Operative

Location: Guildford

Glendale has recently extended its long-term agreement with schools, academies, and colleges across Surrey. We now have long-term employment opportunities for both experienced and trainee staff to join a UK privately owned market-leading green services provider.

Candidates will be required to work 40 hours a week. Overtime is available throughout the year to meet client requirements.

Our depot is based in Guildford. Most importantly, you will be joining a company that offers valuable career prospects and believes in investing in its people.

The Opportunity

1. Duties include grass cutting, line marking, hedge trimming, leaf clearing, shrub bed maintenance, and litter collection as required.
2. The successful applicant may be required to drive/tow a trailer occasionally. Following suitable training, you may operate a tractor or larger mowing equipment; therefore, a UK driving licence is required. Previous experience and relevant tickets are desirable, but full training and career development will be provided.
3. Candidates will also use a range of tools and perform machinery maintenance.
4. A DBS check will need to be obtained due to the nature of the contract.

1. Applicants should be enthusiastic, hardworking individuals with a keen eye for detail.
2. The post holders may be required to operate ride-on mowers and drive company vehicles/tow trailers; therefore, a full clean UK driving licence is desired for all posts.
