Job description

We are looking for grounds maintenance operatives in the Bracknell area to join our expanding business. The role will be based at our Bracknell depot.

Previous experience is preferred but not essential. Duties include grass cutting, shrub bed maintenance, seasonal bedding displays, and other grounds maintenance tasks.

Suitable candidates will preferably have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role and experience in using grounds maintenance equipment in a commercial environment. Ride-on mower experience is an advantage.

A full driving license is required for the position. PA1/6 qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential.

Responsibilities include:

1. Completing programmed work to a high standard in landscape/grounds maintenance.
2. Ensuring quality standards at designated sites/routes in Bracknell Forest, reporting any issues to your Team Leader or Assistant Contract Manager.
3. Driving company vehicles, conducting daily checks, routine maintenance, and reporting defects.
4. Handling machinery and equipment safely and correctly, including digging, planting, litter clearance, mowing, weed spraying, hedge cutting, turf maintenance, traffic management, and operating machinery.
5. Wearing all necessary personal protective equipment and maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
6. Signing in/out correctly and submitting time/attendance sheets weekly.
7. Dealing courteously and professionally with the public, residents, and colleagues.
8. Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
9. Undertaking training as required.
10. Performing duties appropriate to your grade and hours as directed by your line manager.
