Job description

Landmarc Support Services is currently seeking to recruit a Site Operative to join our dedicated team.In this role, you will be responsible for looking after the Training Estate facilities, typical tasks will include cleaning accommodation blocks, and maintaining the grounds and buildings to ensure a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to stay while they train.

Shifts run between: 08:00 - 16:30 from Monday to Friday (early finish on Friday's). Must be flexible with hours due to responsibilities that may require tasks outside of the shift pattern.

Hours of work:37 per week

Contract: Permanent

Location: West Tofts Camp, Thetford, Norfolk, IP26 5EP

Interviews to be held between Wednesday 25th June - Tuesday 1st July.

Main Responsibilities

• Looking after the camps general cleanliness, ensuring it is fit for purpose
• Use of Warning systems including training control offices, flags and lights
• Perform general grounds maintenance tasks, including weeding, planting and pruning
• Ensure all equipment is used safely and maintained properly
• General building maintenance
• Basic grounds maintenance
• Complete all relevant documentation utilising both IT and paper based systems
• Carry out any other additional requirements as needed

The Ideal Candidate

• General labouring, housekeeping and caretaking knowledge
• Ability to operate rural plant and machinery
• Knowledge of Health and Safety and COSHH procedures
• Ability to complete documentation
• Basic IT skillswith ability to use a tablet
• Applicants must hold a valid UK driving licence due to the rural location of this site (essential)
