The Role: We have a fantastic opportunity for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team. If you have a passion for delivering excellent customer service and want to make a difference, then apply for this role today.

Main Responsibilities:

• Supervisory role (e.g., allocation of duties, work rotas)
• General maintenance of sites (e.g., grass cutting, hedge trimming, leaf clearing, hoeing, pruning, strimming, planting, weed control with chemicals, seeding)
• Setting out and overmarking sports pitches and maintaining artificial/synthetic surfaces
• Use of tools and equipment, including powered hand tools and ride-on mowers
• Overseeing proper usage and maintenance of equipment and vehicles
• Interpreting plans, site preparation, soft and hard landscaping

Qualifications and Skills:

• Highly motivated
• Experience in commercial or amenity horticulture
• Good communication and liaison skills
• Clean current driving license
• Possession of PA1 and PA6 Pesticide Application Certificates
• Knowledge of fine turf surfaces
• Understanding of grounds maintenance standards, specifications, and safety requirements
• Good plant knowledge
• Experience towing trailers
• Experience in Grounds Maintenance
