Job summary

BHASVIC is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join the Estates team. The role is permanent, part-time (20 hours per week) with a pattern of Monday to Friday from 11:00 to 15:00, starting ASAP.

You will maintain college grounds and external spaces to a high standard, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors. The pro rata salary starts at £13,383 per year with increases up to £13,598 after the first year, and membership of the Local Government Pension scheme.

• Grounds maintenance experience or ability to perform outdoor maintenance tasks.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

GROUNDS MAINTENANCE OPERATIVE

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Grounds Maintenance Operative to be responsible for ensuring that the college grounds and external spaces are maintained to a high standard, providing a safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. The successful applicant will join our busy Estates team, including another grounds maintenance operative, caretakers, site security officers, and manager.

Contract details:

Permanent, Part-time 20 hours per week

Working pattern: Monday to Friday between 11:00am and 3:00pm

Pro rata salary: £13,383 per annum (based on a full time salary of £24,759)

Salary increases up to £13,598 per annum after first year
