Grounds Maintenance Operative

Hourly Rate: 12.21

Contract type: 5 months FTC starting ASAP

Working hours: Monday - Thursday 07:30-16:30, Friday 07:30-12:30, 39 HPW

Location: Barrow, LA13 9BD

This is a 5-month fixed-term contract with the potential to go permanent.

Manpower is looking for Grounds Maintenance Operatives to work for our client based in Barrow. In this role, you will deliver high-quality grounds maintenance services to various clients in the local area. You will work within a team and be responsible for activities such as grass cutting, strimming, hedge pruning, and flower bed maintenance. Ensuring a safe working environment and carrying out daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment are essential.

The training provided includes on-the-job training and standard induction for best practices.

To succeed, you will need:

• To be physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Hold a full valid UK Driving License.
• Willingness to learn and be open to training.
• A safety-conscious mindset.
• Ability to safely operate equipment and hand tools (e.g., strimmers, backpack blowers, push mowers).
• Experience working in a busy team and providing high-quality service.
• Experience in a similar Grounds Maintenance role is desirable.
