Job summary

Darwin Escapes group is seeking a Grounds, Maintenance & Hot Tub Assistant to support the upkeep of our resort. You will work across grounds, accommodation and facilities, performing landscaping, basic maintenance and repairs in an outdoor, hands-on environment.

The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail and teamwork with the wider resort team. A full UK driving licence is desirable, along with practical maintenance experience in hospitality settings.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general groundskeeping including grass cutting, strimming, planting and landscaping.
• Maintain gardens, lawns, pathways and outdoor areas.
• Assist with routine maintenance and repairs across accommodation, buildings and facilities.
• Carry out basic painting, decorating, plumbing and general repair tasks where appropriate.
• Conduct routine checks of grounds, buildings, facilities and equipment.
• Identify and report maintenance issues, damage or potential hazards.
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure grounds, communal areas and facilities remain clean, safe and well presented.
• Support waste management and recycling processes.
• Assist with the setup and upkeep of outdoor and guest areas.
• Use groundskeeping tools, machinery and maintenance equipment safely.
• Follow health and safety procedures and company standards.
• Work collaboratively with other departments to support resort operations and the guest experience.
• Hot Tub Cleaning & Testing
• Previous experience within grounds maintenance, landscaping, general maintenance or a similar practical role
• Basic DIY, plumbing, painting or decorating skills
• Experience using groundskeeping machinery and maintenance equipment
• Previous experience within holiday parks, hospitality, leisure or a similar environment
• A full UK driving licence

About the role

We’re looking for a hardworking and reliable Grounds, Maintenance & Hot Tub Assistant to support the upkeep of our resort.

You’ll help maintain our grounds, accommodation, buildings and facilities to a high standard, carrying out a mixture of groundskeeping, basic maintenance and general repairs. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys practical work, is comfortable working outdoors and takes pride in creating a safe and well-presented environment for our guests.
