Job description

Role Purpose

Reporting directly to the Branch & Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the sale of Groundcare Machinery, both new and used, including its associated equipment in a designated area. Your role will be to visit customers and maximize sales opportunities for the department in a courteous and effective manner.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Good, sound knowledge of the Groundcare industry and its equipment
  • Proven sales, service, or parts experience within this sector
  • Achieve sales performance targets as set out by the line manager
  • Represent the dealership and portfolio of brands to customers within a defined sales area
  • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge
  • Attend customer-focused events
  • Ensure products are delivered to customers in line with brand and company guidelines and the customer experience is first class
  • Build strong and loyal relationships with customers within the sales area
  • Excellent customer service skills both face-to-face and over the telephone
  • Target-driven with the ability to upsell to achieve and exceed targets
  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
  • Influencing and persuading skills, with the ability to close deals
  • Ability to demonstrate equipment where necessary
  • A full driving licence is required
  • Organised administratively
Additional Details
  • Start Date: Immediate, subject to candidate’s notice period
  • Hours: 42.5 hours per week – 8am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday (1-hour unpaid lunch). Additional hours may be required, including weekends during peak periods such as harvest.
  • Salary: Competitive, depending on experience, plus commission and company car
  • Benefits: 32 days annual leave including bank holidays, company car, sick pay scheme, workplace pension, referral bonus, flu jab service, wellbeing group, staff discount, and life assurance (2x salary)
