Job summary

Corston Architectural Detail is seeking reliable Groundworkers for a long-term project in Wiltshire, UK. On-site work five days per week with immediate start and competitive pay of £18–£22 per hour.

The role involves handling groundworks, site prep, drainage, foundations, and coordinating with site managers to keep progress on schedule on a large-scale development including a warehouse, training block, car park and offices.

Qualifications

• Experienced groundworker with proven experience on large projects.
• Must have CSCS card and CIS card.
• Willingness to work 5 days per week on site.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a wide range of groundworks on a major construction project.
• Assist with site prep, excavation, drainage, foundations, and groundwork installations.
• Operate dumper machinery safely and efficiently when required.
• Support construction of warehouse, offices, training facilities and infrastructure.
• Work with site managers to keep projects on schedule.
• Follow health and safety procedures and maintain a safe site.
• Undertake manual labour and general site tasks as needed.
• Ensure high quality and accuracy of work.
• Maintain site cleanliness and organisation.
• Attend site consistently as a reliable team member.

About the Role

Corston Architectural Detail is looking for reliable and hardworking Groundworkers to join our team on an exciting and long-term project in Malmesbury, Wiltshire. The initial phase of work has included clearing and preparing a large site that was previously a plant nursery, alongside upgrading an existing office building to make it fully usable for the site team. We are now ready for the next phase of the build.

Following this, there is an excellent opportunity for long-term employment assisting with a major new build development, including:

• Construction of a large warehouse
• A training block with 10 en-suite bedrooms
• A large car park
• Additional office spaces

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out a wide range of groundworks activities on a major construction project.
• Assist with site preparation, excavation, drainage, foundations, and groundwork installations.
• Operate dumper machinery safely and efficiently where required.
• Support the construction of new warehouse, office, training, and infrastructure developments.
• Work closely with site managers and the wider construction team to ensure projects remain on schedule.
• Follow all health & safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
• Undertake manual labour duties and general site tasks as required.
• Ensure work is completed to a high standard of quality and accuracy.
• Maintain site cleanliness and organisation throughout the project.
• Attend site consistently and contribute positively as a reliable member of the team.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Experienced Groundwork and proven experience of large projects
• Experience of driving dumpers
• Must have CSCS card and CIS Card
• Ability to commit to 5 days per week on site
• Physically fit and capable of manual work
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
• Willingness to work as part of a team
