Job summary

SwiftLine Laser Limited, based in Washington, Tyne & Wear, is building a new manufacturing operation and seeks a Production Manager to shape the factory from day one. You will lead hands-on production, install and commission equipment, set standards, train staff and drive Lean principles to deliver on time, cost, quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission the three Bystronic laser machines.
• Establish factory layout, material flow and processes.
• Plan and manage day-to-day production to meet output targets.
• Train and develop laser operators and production staff.
• Drive machine utilisation and OEE.
• Apply Lean manufacturing to improve flow and reduce waste.
• Maintain 5S and housekeeping standards.
• Support ERP/MRP implementation and ISO 9001 adherence.
• Assist with recruitment and training as the team grows.
