Whitbread's Pickering Premier Inn is seeking a Ground Floor Team Member to welcome guests, assist check-in, and service breakfast or dinner. This role guarantees 25 hours per week at up to £13.06 per hour, with a permanent contract and full training.

You’ll join a busy, guest-focused team across reception, restaurant and public areas, with evenings and weekend shifts. Prior hotel experience isn’t required; friendly, calm, and proactive people will thrive and have opportunities to develop within

We're currently recruiting in our Pickering Premier Inn. Working 25 hours per week, paying up to £13.06 per hour.

Ground Floor Team Member – Pickering Premier Inn.

You are the first person many of our guests meet. And often the last before they leave.

As a Ground Floor Team Member, you’ll welcome guests, help them check in, answer questions, serve breakfast or dinner and do whatever it takes to help their stay go smoothly.

No two shifts are quite the same. One moment you could be helping a family check in before their holiday. The next you might be serving breakfast, recommending somewhere local to eat or helping solve a problem for a guest.

Pay, hours and location

Pay: Up to £13.06 per hour

Contract: Permanent – we don’t do zero-hours contracts.

Hours: 25 guaranteed hours per week.

Location: Pickering Premier Inn. Thornton Road, Pickering, North Yorkshire, YO18 7HZ.

Shifts: Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

What You’ll Do

As a Ground Floor Team Member, no two shifts look exactly the same.

• Welcome guests and help them check in
• Serve breakfast or evening meals
• Answer questions and help solve problems
• Help keep the reception, restaurant and public areas looking their best
• Support your teammates across the hotel when things get busy
• Make sure every guest feels looked after from arrival to departure

This isn’t a role where you'll spend your shift in one place. You’ll be helping guests, supporting teammates and keeping the hotel running smoothly.

You Don’t Need Hotel Experience

Some of our best Ground Floor Team Members have joined us from retail, cafés, pubs, restaurants, leisure, travel and customer service.

If you’re friendly, enjoy helping people and can stay calm when it’s busy, we’ll teach you the rest.
