Job summary

Premier Inn is recruiting for a Ground Floor Team Member at Newcastle Airport, Newcastle upon Tyne. You will welcome guests, check them in, serve breakfast or dinner, and help ensure a smooth stay.

Shifts include evenings, weekends and busy periods. 12 guaranteed hours per week under a fixed-term contract until late 2026. No zero-hours contracts, and full training provided to become a key part of the hotel team.

We're currently recruiting in our Newcastle Airport Premier Inn. Premier Inn. Working 12 hours per week, paying up to £13.06 per hour.

Ground Floor Team Member – Newcastle Airport Premier Inn

You are the first person many of our guests meet. And often the last before they leave.

As a Ground Floor Team Member, you’ll welcome guests, help them check in, answer questions, serve breakfast or dinner and do whatever it takes to help their stay go smoothly.

No two shifts are quite the same. One moment you could be helping a family check in before their holiday. The next you might be serving breakfast, recommending somewhere local to eat or helping solve a problem for a guest.

Pay, hours and location

Pay: Up to £13.06 per hour.

Contract: Fixed Term Contract until 29/10/2026 – we don’t do zero-hours contracts.

Hours: 12 guaranteed hours per week.

Location: Newcastle Airport Premier Inn, Newcastle Airport, Newcastle upon Tyne NE20 9DB.

Shifts: Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

What You’ll Do

As a Ground Floor Team Member, no two shifts look exactly the same.

Depending On Where You’re Needed, You Might

• Welcome guests and help them check in
• Serve breakfast or evening meals
• Answer questions and help solve problems
• Help keep the reception, restaurant and public areas looking their best
• Support your teammates across the hotel when things get busy
• Make sure every guest feels looked after from arrival to departure

This isn’t a role where you'll spend your shift in one place. You’ll be helping guests, supporting teammates and keeping the hotel running smoothly.

You Don’t Need Hotel Experience

Some of our best Ground Floor Team Members have joined us from retail, cafés, pubs, restaurants, leisure, travel and customer service.

If you’re friendly, enjoy helping people and can stay calm when it’s busy, we’ll teach you the rest.
