Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Whitbread is hiring a Ground Floor Team Member for Hitchin Town Centre Premier Inn. You’ll be the first and last point of contact for guests, handling welcoming, orders, and inquiries while keeping public areas tidy. The role involves evenings, weekends and busy periods, with a permanent contract and 24 guaranteed hours per week.
No hotel experience is required; friendly, calm and proactive candidates will be trained to support guests across the hotel and build a career with Premier Inn.
We're currently recruiting in our Hitchin Town Centre Premier Inn. Working 24 hours per week, paying up to £13.06 per hour.
You are the first person many of our guests meet. And often the last before they leave.
Pay: Up to £13.06 per hour
Contract: Permanent – we don’t do zero-hours contracts.
Hours: 24 guaranteed hours per week.
Location: Hitchin Town Centre Premier Inn - Portmill Lane, Hitchin, SG5 1DJ
Shifts: Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.
As a Ground Floor Team Member, no two shifts look exactly the same.
This isn’t a role where you'll spend your shift in one place. You’ll be helping guests, supporting teammates and keeping the hotel running smoothly.
Some of our best Ground Floor Team Members have joined us from retail, cafés, pubs, restaurants, leisure, travel and customer service.
If you’re friendly, enjoy helping people and can stay calm when it’s busy, we’ll teach you the rest.
You’ll be joining a team that supports each other from day one.
We’ll give you the training to feel confident in every part of the role, whether you’re checking in guests, serving breakfast or helping someone who’s had a long day and just wants to get settled.
As you build your experience, you’ll have opportunities to learn new skills and explore different roles across Premier Inn.
