Job summary

Whitbread is looking for a Ground Floor Team Member at Mansfield Premier Inn. You will welcome guests, assist with check-in, serve breakfast or dinner and help guests enjoy a smooth stay. This is a 20-hour-per-week, fixed-term role through 31 December 2026 with shifts that include evenings and weekends.

No hotel experience is required, and we’ll teach you the rest. If you’re friendly, calm under pressure and enjoy helping people, join us to start a career in hospitality.

We're currently recruiting in our Mansfield Premier Inn. Working 20 hours per week, paying up to £13.06 per hour.

Ground Floor Team Member – Mansfield Premier Inn

You are the first person many of our guests meet. And often the last before they leave.

As a Ground Floor Team Member, you’ll welcome guests, help them check in, answer questions, serve breakfast or dinner and do whatever it takes to help their stay go smoothly.

No two shifts are quite the same. One moment you could be helping a family check in before their holiday. The next you might be serving breakfast, recommending somewhere local to eat or helping solve a problem for a guest.

Pay, hours and location

Pay: Up to £13.06 per hour

Contract: Fixed-term contract until 31/12/2026 – we don’t do zero-hours contracts.

Hours: 20 guaranteed hours per week.

Location: Mansfield Premier Inn - Carter Lane East, South Normanton, Alfreton, Derbyshire, DE55 2DY

Shifts: Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

What You’ll Do

As a Ground Floor Team Member, no two shifts look exactly the same.

Depending On Where You’re Needed, You Might

• Welcome guests and help them check in
• Serve breakfast or evening meals, including working behind the bar and serving alcoholic drinks
• Answer questions and help solve problems
• Help keep the reception, restaurant and public areas looking their best
• Support your teammates across the hotel when things get busy
• Make sure every guest feels looked after from arrival to departure

This isn’t a role where you'll spend your shift in one place. You’ll be helping guests, supporting teammates and keeping the hotel running smoothly.

You Don’t Need Hotel Experience

Some of our best Ground Floor Team Members have joined us from retail, cafés, pubs, restaurants, leisure, travel and customer service.
