Job summary

Amentum is expanding its UK Ground Engineering capability, seeking Engineering Geologists and Geotechnical Engineers at Consultant and Senior levels. You’ll work across ground investigation, geotechnical analysis and reporting, supporting a wide range of defence, nuclear and infrastructure projects across the UK.

Roles offer a flexible hybrid working arrangement with office, site and home-based activity. Opportunities exist from Harwell to other UK offices, with progression toward chartership

Qualifications

• Practical Engineering Geology or Geotechnical Engineering experience appropriate to the level applied for.
• Degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical or Civil Engineering; postgraduate MSc/PhD advantageous but not essential.
• Chartership with a relevant body (CEng or CGeol) beneficial for Senior role.

Responsibilities

• Identify, investigate and manage ground-related risks across diverse UK projects.
• Plan and supervise ground investigations and prepare reports.
• Contribute to bids, proposals and scopes of work; Liaise with clients and stakeholders.
