The role

As a Ground Electrical Technician, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This is an exciting role where you’ll work within a department where everyone is courteous and respectful to their colleagues, build a great working relationship on trust and honesty and be Home Safe Everyday health and safety mantra.

Day-to-day, you’ll carry out ground electrical engineering works across two sites primarily RAF Cosford, as well as:

  • Battery charging electrical works
  • Ensure that all activities are carried out to a high standard in accordance with the appropriate technical publications and procedures.

This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Cosford.

Essential experience of the Ground Electrical Technician:

  • Experience in ground support equipment and vehicle electrical systems

Qualifications for the Ground Electrical Technician:

  • Formal training in Electrical Engineering. City & Guilds 2382 / NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
  • Understand the maintenance of lead acid and alkaline batteries.
  • BS7671 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (however if lapsed or a level 17th edition training can be provided)

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
