Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a customer service oriented associate to provide quality service in the Center Store (Grocery) Department. You will maintain shelving, assist customers and ensure proper inventory and safety standards.

The role emphasizes fast, friendly service, adherence to guidelines, and teamwork with other associates while upholding Food Lion's dress code and training requirements.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, accurate service.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Maintain Specialty Merchandise level according to standard practice and backroom inventory.
• Maintain shelf allocations according to plan-ograms.
• Ensure back stock is properly maintained.
• Update items and tags within 1 week of receipt and place per plan-ograms.
• Handle ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying per policies.
• Use company tools like ACIS and CAO.
• Follow company guidelines and safety procedures.
• Report accidents per Food Lion procedures to Manager on Duty.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Wear Food Lion uniform with name badge and neat appearance.
• Complete CBT and training packets.
