Job summary

Sainsbury's Limited is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver in Harlow. You will deliver groceries in a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to customers on time, ensuring loads are secure and routes are efficient. The role blends customer service with safe driving and occasional store support.

The position is part-time (30 hours/week), permanent, with a focus on delivering a high-quality doorstep experience and maintaining safety standards across all shifts.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months with up to 6 points
• Must be over 18 and eligible to work in the UK
• Ability to work in a fast-paced delivery environment
• Willingness to learn and adapt to store processes

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Sainsbury’s at customer doorstep deliveries
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries on time
• Check vehicle roadworthiness, cleanliness and load security
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in varying conditions
• Move containers up to 15kg and assist customers with their orders
• Communicate delays or issues to customers and adapt to changes
• Assist across the store when not on deliveries
