Job summary

Mitie Landscapes is hiring a Gritting Operative to support Winter Services and report to the Contracts Manager. You will perform gritting across sites in the regional area, driving a company vehicle with a gritting hopper and ensuring salt is distributed safely and efficiently.

The role requires a full UK driving licence and a willingness to work outdoors, with a fixed-term, full-time contract at Sutton, Greater London. Training and PPE are provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Must be prepared to work outdoors in varying conditions.
• Ability to use a smartphone for work communications and updates.
• Full clean UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Gritting at various sites within the regional area.
• Drive a company vehicle with a gritting hopper.
• Load rock salt and distribute across sites via the van.
• Carry out duties in a safe and timely manner.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be supporting Winter Services, carrying out gritting on various sites, throughout the Winter period ensuring you deliver the exceptional every day.
