Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting CNC Grinders on behalf of Honeywell Aerospace in Yeovil, Somerset. This full-time, permanent role offers a weekend shift pattern with competitive hourly pay ranging from £18.99 to £19.54 per hour.

Immediate starts available in a modern, high-tech aerospace manufacturing environment. You will work in a dedicated engineering team, performing precision grinding to strict aerospace specifications while upholding OCQ procedures and maintaining rigorous quality

Qualifications

• Experience as a Grinder in aerospace or precision engineering.
• Experience operating MDI CNC grinding machinery.
• Knowledge of internal, external, surface, and thread grinding.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Understanding of quality control procedures and inspection techniques.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive approach to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal and external grinding using MDI CNC grinding machinery.
• Carry out surface grinding and thread grinding to aerospace specifications.
• Operate in accordance with OCQ (Operator Control of Quality) procedures.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Follow established process layouts and manufacturing procedures.
• Conduct in-process inspections to ensure components meet strict quality standards.
• Complete all production and quality documentation accurately.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment.

• Carry out surface grinding and thread grinding operations to precise aerospace specifications.
• Operate in accordance with OCQ (Operator Control of Quality) procedures.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Follow established process layouts and manufacturing procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Grinder within aerospace, precision engineering, manufacturing, or a similar environment.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Understanding of quality control procedures and inspection techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality components.

• Saturday and Sunday.
  7am-7pm (12-hour shifts).
