Kinetic Recruitment are currently resourcing for a full-time Grinder to work on a permanent contract at our client's site in Gateshead. Reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor, the role of a grinder is to operate a variety of finish grinding machines, both CNC and Manual, to tight tolerances.

Responsibilities:

1. Maximise machine efficiency levels
2. Record and maintain relevant documentation
3. Ensure a good standard of housekeeping is maintained at all times
4. Any other tasks as requested by the Machine Shop Supervisor/Manager

Skills and Experience:

1. Time served in an engineering discipline
2. Experience of working in a heavy manufacturing environment
3. Good communication skills
4. Ability to work on own initiative
5. Flexibility when required

The role is on a 2 shift pattern:

1. 07:00 - 15:30 (12:00 Friday)
2. 21:15 - 07:00
