Job summary

The Ivy Collection is seeking a Grill Chef to cook a wide range of steaks, chicken, burgers and seasonal meats, applying expert grilling techniques to meet our exacting standards during busy service.

You will work closely with prep cooks, manage station setup, ensure correct temperatures and food safety, and contribute to a positive kitchen environment while enjoying competitive pay, staff discounts and a dedicated career development program.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Grill Chef or Senior Chef de Partie.
• Knowledge of different steak temperatures and resting times.
• Knowledge of different meats and their characteristics.
• Experience in using a variety of Grill Equipment, including ceramic briquette grills.
• Strong culinary skills with a passion for cooking and learning.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to recipes and standards.
• Set up and stock their assigned section with necessary supplies and ingredients.
• Collaborate closely with prep chefs to monitor inventory and ensure correct daily par levels.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, adhering to food safety.
• Follow instructions from the Senior Management to ensure consistency and quality in every dish.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
