Job summary

Harper's Steakhouse Haslemere in the United Kingdom is seeking a Grill Chef with a passion for service excellence and high culinary standards. You will train and coach junior chefs, cook guests' orders to preferences, and ensure food safety and presentation.

Qualifications

• Be a strong Chef with the ability to train, coach and develop junior chefs.
• At least 1 year experience as a Chef.
• Great communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Cooks guests' orders according to their preferences.
• Is an expert at grilling steaks to perfection.
• Employs food safety best practices and ensures all kitchen staff do the same.
• Acts with appropriate caution in a dangerous environment with knives and high-temperature surfaces.
• Experiments to come up with new specialties to draw diners.
• Coaches other cooks and kitchen staff to perform at their best.
• Keeps up with trends in cooking and the restaurant business to ensure guests have a positive experience.
• Works quickly and accurately during busy periods, such as weekends and evenings.
• Occasionally takes on extra duties, such as cleaning, when kitchen is short-staffed.

Grill chef Requirements:

• Be a strong Chef, with the ability to train, Coach and develop junior chefs
• At least 1 year experience as a Chef

• Takes direction and works with the restaurant's administrative team
