Job description

Dakota Hotel based in Newcastle are seeking an outgoing individual with waiting experience for the role of Restaurant Waiter/Waitress to deliver exceptional service to our guests. Working part-time, predominantly Friday and Saturday dinner service, this role is ideal for students and those with weekday commitments.

We are a brand-new, stylish hotel, ideally situated on the Quayside, our hotel boasts 118 bedrooms including 33 suites. Dakota Newcastle hosts our renowned Bar & Grill, Champagne Room, Cigar Terrace, and an events space for up to 60.

CONTRACT AND PAY RATE

Earnings are up to £13.21 per hour, based on National Minimum Wage and are paid weekly, equating to a minimum guaranteed gross annual salary of £12,364 (inclusive of the anticipated tronc payment).

The role carries a permanent contract of a minimum of 18 hours per week and typical shifts will be working a minimum of 3 days out of 7, this role will include working weekends.

The hours include between Monday-Saturday; 5pm-11pm, and then between the hours of 12pm-11pm on a Sunday due to a longer service.

Primary Role Responsibilities

• Carry out the role of a section waiter/waitress, providing table service, taking guest orders and running large trays of delicious food to guest tables.
• Provide the highest levels of guest service, offering personalised dish and beverage recommendations, and delivering a memorable dining experience.
• Work closely with the Bar and Kitchen team to ensure the effective flow of communication.
• To have a comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage menu options to enhance the guest experience.
