Job summary

Berkshire Talent Partnership is sourcing a Project Engineer for a London-based grid-scale battery storage project. You’ll provide the technical backbone from late development through construction, energisation and handover, collaborating with the Engineering Manager and Delivery Director.

This hands-on role suits electrical or mechanical engineers with a track record on large infrastructure projects, and a readiness to travel for UK site visits. Hybrid work and strong growth prospects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years’ experience on large infrastructure projects (BESS, substations, solar, wind, grid connections).
• Hands-on design review, construction and commissioning experience.
• UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Engineering and design: review packages, ensure compliance with Grid Code and standards.
• Procurement: prepare tech specs, evaluate bids, interface with EPCs and suppliers.
• Construction and commissioning: monitor progress, witness FAT/SAT, energisation.
• Project controls: track risks, manage changes, ensure CDM and safety requirements.
