Grid Manager

South West HQ (3 days a week in office)
Growing independent power provider working across the UK on solar and battery storage.
Offering up to £65,000 DOE

We're working with a growing independent power producer based in the South West for a new addition to their team. This is a brand new position to the company, with brilliant potential and experience to one of the most interesting elements of the project lifecycles.

As Grid Manager, you'd take a varied role on, but they're happy to consider candidates with a baseline of knowledge in this space to grow into this role. The group's culture embraces this environment, nurturing talent and progressing skillsets.

They've over a decade of market presence, growing the team to 35 over this time. They are also able to provide full project lifecycle support from early-stage developments and feasibility works through to asset operation and ownership. Their pipeline works across solar PV and onshore wind too, so you'd have a really diverse portfolio of works. Their connections are also at distribution and transmission level, providing even more diversity to your work.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

1. Managing grid connections from early-stage developments, through to energisation and asset ownership.
2. Regularly liaising and engaging with DNOs and NESO, as well as relevant other key stakeholders throughout the connection process.
3. Providing technical input to various projects, as well as staying up to date with relevant industry standards and policies.
4. Supporting internal teams on early-stage developments and project construction.

3. Strong commercial acumen and skills to negotiate with relevant stakeholders.
