Grid Manager | Hybrid - London | Permanent | up to £60,000

Are you an expert in grid connections, energy infrastructure, and project development?

PT Renewables are partnered with a business driving the transition towards a smarter, more sustainable energy system.

We’re looking for an experienced Grid Manager to identify and develop opportunities on the distribution and transmission grid, working with DNOs, TNOs, ICPs, and EPCs.

The Role

As a Grid Manager, you’ll be part of a forward-thinking team developing BESS, solar, wind, gas engine, and industrial demand projects. You’ll have the opportunity to shape strategies, work on high-impact developments, and play a key role in delivering projects to “shovel-ready” status.

Your day-to-day will be:

• Identifying and assessing grid capacity for renewable and industrial energy projects across the UK.
• Developing project strategies, considering connection timelines, costs, and ongoing network charges.
• Managing the grid application process from submission to approval.
• Engaging with project development directors and managing communication with DNOs, IDNOs, ICPs, and EPCs.

About you

We're looking for someone with:

• A strong background in energy project development, particularly in pre-construction phases.
• The ability to identify grid capacity and produce the necessary technical documentation for successful applications.
• A results-driven mindset with the desire to take ownership of projects and drive them to success.
• Strong industry connections and confidence in engaging with DNOs and other stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of the UK grid, including transmission, distribution, and grid reform developments.
• Knowledge of grid upgrades, reinforcements, and network charges.
