Job summary

A leading renewable energy developer is seeking a Grid Connections Manager to oversee critical grid connections for utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems across the UK. This pivotal role involves managing connections, liaising with industry stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with UK grid infrastructure requirements. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in grid connections and a passion for enabling clean energy deployment through smart grid integration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in grid connections (DNO, developer, ICP or similar).
• Strong technical and commercial understanding of UK grid infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Managing grid connections from feasibility to energisation.
• Liaising with DNOs, TOs, and ICPs.
• Supporting technical design, cashflow planning, and delivery coordination.

Grid Connections Manager – Battery Storage

Have you got experience in navigating the UK grid connection process? Want to play a pivotal role in delivering utility-scale energy storage projects and make a big impact on net-zero?

One of the UK’s most exciting renewable energy developers is looking for a Grid Connections Manager to take ownership of grid connections across a 2GW nationwide pipeline of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), with individual sites ranging from 10MW to 100MW.

What you’ll be doing:

• Managing grid connections from feasibility to energisation
• Liaising with DNOs, TOs, and ICPs
• Supporting technical design, cashflow planning, and delivery coordination
• Staying on top of industry reforms and representing the business at key events

What we’re looking for:

• 3+ years’ experience in grid connections (DNO, developer, ICP or similar)
• Strong technical and commercial understanding of UK grid infrastructure
• Experience with NESO Grid Code Compliance and DIgSILENT (a plus)
