Job summary

A leading renewable energy developer in the UK seeks a Grid Connections Manager to oversee grid connections for a 2GW pipeline of Battery Energy Storage Systems. This role involves managing the connection process, liaising with various stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. We're looking for candidates with a strong technical knack for grid infrastructure and a passion for clean energy deployment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in grid connections (DNO, developer, ICP or similar)
• Strong technical and commercial understanding of UK grid infrastructure.
• Experience with NESO Grid Code Compliance is a plus.

• Managing grid connections from feasibility to energisation.
• Liaising with DNOs, TOs, and ICPs.
• Supporting technical design, cashflow planning, and delivery coordination.

Grid Connections Manager – Battery Storage

Have you got experience in navigating the UK grid connection process? Want to play a pivotal role in delivering utility-scale energy storage projects and make a big impact on net-zero?

One of the UK’s most exciting renewable energy developers is looking for a Grid Connections Manager to take ownership of grid connections across a 2GW nationwide pipeline of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), with individual sites ranging from 10MW to 100MW.

What you’ll be doing:

• Managing grid connections from feasibility to energisation
• Liaising with DNOs, TOs, and ICPs
• Supporting technical design, cashflow planning, and delivery coordination
• Staying on top of industry reforms and representing the business at key events

What we’re looking for:

• 3+ years’ experience in grid connections (DNO, developer, ICP or similar)
• Strong technical and commercial understanding of UK grid infrastructure
• Experience with NESO Grid Code Compliance and DIgSILENT (a plus)
