Job summary

British Solar Renewables Limited in Shepton Mallet, UK, seeks an experienced Grid Connections Manager to lead grid connection delivery from offer to energisation across our renewables portfolio. You will coordinate DNOs, ICPs, IDNOs, NESOs and EPC contractors, managing programmes, risks and budgets to deliver energisation milestones.

The role can be based in Somerset or London, with hybrid options where role requirements allow.

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering UK electricity grid connection and complex infrastructure projects through delivery and energisation.
• Strong project management background across programme, cost, risk, stakeholder management and multiple concurrent projects.
• Experience managing DNO, NESO, ICP, IDNO and EPC contractor interfaces in challenging, fast-paced environments.
• Strong understanding of electricity network connection processes and delivery requirements.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively and drive projects to completion.
• Highly organised, resilient and able to perform effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of grid connection delivery projects from offer acceptance through energisation, managing programmes, milestones, budgets, risks and recovery plans.
• Coordinate internal development, engineering, land, legal, finance and construction teams to ensure each project is ready for delivery.
• Lead project reviews, track actions and provide reporting on progress, risks and mitigations to senior leadership.
• Manage DNO, TO and NESO connection works, ensuring agreements and contractual obligations are delivered effectively.
• Coordinate contestable and non-contestable works through ICP, IDNO and network providers, including energisation.
• Monitor provider programmes, challenge delays and drive recovery plans where delivery dates are at risk.
