Job summary

A leading company in renewable energy is seeking a Grid Compliance Engineer to ensure compliance with distribution and transmission requirements. This remote role involves managing project interfaces, producing key documentation, and supporting risk management. Candidates should have expertise in the Grid Code and experience in renewable energy projects.

Job description

Location: REMOTE with occasional site visits and team meetings once a month

Contract Type: Until 31st December 2025, subject to extension

Hours of Work: 37 hours per week, 5 days

Role Overview

As a Grid Compliance Engineer, you will support renewable energy projects by ensuring compliance with distribution and transmission connection requirements, maintaining technical expertise in these areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage compliance interfaces with National Energy System Operator (NESO), Transmission Owner (TO), and Distribution Network Operator (DNO) throughout project phases.
• Oversee the BMU and metering registration processes for multiple projects.
• Produce and review technical documentation, external reports, and studies.
• Manage weekly reports and project management tools for assigned projects.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience with renewable energy projects.
• Knowledge of Grid Code and Grid Compliance.
• Understanding of electrical system studies and EMT/RMS modeling.
• Experience managing risks in a renewables environment.
