GREENHOUSE LABOURER - HU15

Location: Beverly

Salary: £12.21 per hour

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 5:45 AM to 5:00 PM, with additional weekend shifts during peak times.

Job Overview

Oversee all aspects of crop cultivation to ensure efficient production, quality control, and compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities include monitoring crop health and implementing interventions to maximize yield while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Crop Planning and Management

• Develop and execute crop planting plans based on market demand, soil conditions, and weather forecasts.
• Monitor crop health, addressing issues like pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.
• Implement irrigation and fertilization strategies to optimize yields.
• Oversee harvesting to ensure timeliness and efficiency.

Quality Control

• Inspect crops regularly for quality standards including size, appearance, and maturity.
• Maintain records of crop yields, quality data, and pest/disease management.

Compliance and Sustainability

• Ensure adherence to agricultural regulations and environmental standards.
• Promote sustainable farming practices such as water conservation and integrated pest management.
