Job Title: Crop Cultivation Supervisor

Overview: To oversee all aspects of crop cultivation, ensuring efficient production, quality control, and adherence to industry standards. Responsibilities include monitoring crop health and implementing interventions to maximize yield while maintaining safety and compliance with regulations.

What We Offer:

  • Shift: Mon - Fri, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (+ Saturdays in peak times)
  • Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
  • Driving Licence is required due to location
  • FLT license desired but not essential
Key Responsibilities:
Crop Planning and Management:
  • Develop and execute crop planting plans based on market demand, soil conditions, and weather forecasts.
  • Monitor crop health, identifying pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.
  • Implement irrigation and fertilisation strategies to optimise yields.
  • Oversee harvesting operations for timely and efficient harvests.
Quality Control:
  • Inspect crops regularly for quality standards such as size, appearance, and maturity.
  • Implement quality control measures to address issues.
  • Maintain records on crop yields, quality data, and pest/disease management.
Compliance and Sustainability:
  • Ensure compliance with agricultural regulations and environmental standards.
  • Promote sustainable farming practices, including water conservation and integrated pest management.
  • Problem-solving skills: Quickly address issues in a dynamic environment.
  • Technical proficiency: Familiarity with farm equipment and data analysis tools.
  • Physical fitness: Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform demanding tasks.
