Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Workshop Plant Fitter for a Green Energy role in Newcastle. Join a leading plant hire company with 60+ years of experience, focusing on servicing heavy plant machinery in a busy workshop.

Based in Cramlington with some site travel, you will train engineers, diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults, and ensure safety compliance. The role offers £50,000–£60,000 plus training, progression, a company vehicle and overtime.

Qualifications

• Experience as a workshop fitter or similar.
• Strong mechanical background with hydraulics and electronics.
• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering and CAN systems knowledge.
• Willing to travel to sites and commute to Newcastle with UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular service, maintenance, and detailed assessments on heavy plant machinery.
• Identify and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
• Travel to sites across the North of England.
• Ensure equipment meets health and safety standards.
