For one of our clients – a prestigious trading house with a solid footprint in the soft commodity sector – we are looking for a seasoned Green Coffee Trader to join their team in London.

This is a unique opportunity for a commercially driven professional with a passion for coffee, market dynamics, and international deal-making.

Your mission

As a key player in the trading division, you will:

• Trade green coffee (Arabica and Robusta) with a sharp eye on profitability and long-term value
• Lead negotiations and nurture high-impact relationships with major clients
• Anticipate market shifts and craft pricing strategies that give you a competitive edge
• Ensure smooth execution of contracts, including logistics, payment flows and LCs – no pre-financing involved
• Leverage your existing network of European roasters to expand sales and unlock new opportunities
• Actively contribute to P&L growth and operational excellence across the value chain

Your profile

• 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in green coffee trading, across Arabica and Robusta
• A strong portfolio of European roasters and a proven ability to generate and close deals
• Exceptional commercial acumen, negotiation finesse and entrepreneurial mindset
• A rigorous and analytical approach, with a keen awareness of risk and compliance
• Fluent in English and French; additional languages are a valuable asset
