Job summary

Nub News in Warwick seeks an experienced GRC Controls & Oversight Lead to support governance, assurance, and control environments across IT and OT domains. This role combines hands-on execution with stakeholder coordination to drive assurance activities from identification to remediation and reporting.

The successful candidate will work with security, operations, engineering and business teams to evidence compliance, monitor control effectiveness, and continually improve governance processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in GRC, assurance, audit, or oversight functions.
• Strong understanding of security/control environments IT/OT.
• Ability to analyse complex processes and identify control weaknesses.
• Experience managing large volumes of actions, findings, and remediation.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret policies and control requirements.
• Proactive, delivery-focused, independent work style.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate controls assurance and testing across IT/OT.
• Assess and validate control effectiveness against policies and standards.
• Identify deficiencies and drive timely remediation and follow-up.
• Manage assurance backlogs and remediation actions.
• Oversee risks, audit observations, and control exceptions.
• Collaborate with security, operations, engineering, and business teams to gather evidence.
• Support audits with evidence collection and stakeholder engagement.
• Produce governance reporting and assurance metrics for senior stakeholders.
• Ensure controls align with risk appetite and regulatory obligations.
• Facilitate governance forums and risk reviews; drive process improvements.
