Graphics and Wrap Technician

We're looking for a dedicated professional to prepare, apply, and maintain the stunning liveries on our race cars, team transporters, and other branded assets. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring Williams Racing's branding is flawless on race weekends and throughout the season. Main Duties:

Livery Application

1. Prepare and apply vinyl wraps to Formula 1 cars, team transporters and other equipment.
2. Ensure the accurate and precise application of graphics according to design specifications.
3. Work closely with the design team to interpret and execute complex livery designs.

Graphics Production

1. Produce and prepare all necessary graphics, including cut vinyl and printed materials.
2. Operate and maintain large format printers, plotters and laminators.
3. Ensure that all graphics meet the high standards required by the team and sponsors.

Maintenance and Repairs

1. Perform regular inspections and maintenance on vehicle wraps to ensure durability and quality.
2. Repair and replace damaged graphics, when necessary, and often under tight deadlines.
3. Assist in the removal of wraps and graphics when necessary, ensuring no damage to surfaces.

Team Collaboration

1. Work closely with design, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure all branding is consistent and meets sponsorship requirements.
2. Assist in developing new wrapping techniques and solutions to enhance the team’s branding efforts.
3. Provide support during race weekends, ensuring the vehicles are race-ready with all graphics in place.

Logistics and Inventory

1. Ensure accurate inventory of vinyl materials, adhesives and other necessary supplies.
2. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and manage stock levels.
3. Assist in the logistics of transporting graphics and wraps to various locations, including race venues.

Qualifications:

Core Competencies:

1. Proficiency in operating Roland printers and related software, with a strong understanding of print processes and colour management.
2. Skilled in Adobe Illustrator, with the ability to create and edit vector graphics to a high professional standard.

Qualifications and Experience Level:

1. Experience in the preparation of vinyl graphics, preferably in a motorsport or automotive setting.
