Job description

BPTW are looking for a highly motivated and creative Graphics and Marketing Assistant to join our Business Development and Marketing team. The role involves responsibility for a wide range of graphics work relating to business development, bid submissions and marketing.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and creative Graphics and Marketing Assistant to join a dynamic Business Development and Marketing team working from our design studio in Greenwich.

In this role you will have responsibility for creating engaging graphics for digital and print media, including social media, website, brochures, and video content, for both internal and external communications. You will be expected to generate new ideas, contribute to design solutions, and ensure quality and consistency of output.

This is a varied role with plenty of scope to try different things. You will be an integral member of the team working closely with the Business Development & Marketing Coordinator and as well as providing graphic support, you will be maintaining and developing the BPTW brand.

The successful candidate will be working with different teams across the practice, including those focusing on architectural design and business development. Therefore, confident communication and enthusiasm for teamwork is a must, as well as a keen eye for detail, design and layout. You will need the ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver to competing deadlines.

Core Responsibilities

Include:

  • Updating and creating portfolios, brochures, and presentations.
  • Producing documents including fee proposals, CVs, and project sheets.
  • Creation of new graphic material for the practice, as required.
  • Creating and updating material for website, internal comms, and social media.
  • Ensure documents produced follow brand guidelines, standard formatting, and quality standards.
  • Support awards submissions.
  • Assisting event planning and creating events materials.
  • Preparing email newsletters.
  • Photography and image editing.
  • Regularly monitoring department inboxes and accurately logging information.
  • Maintaining records of information for bids.
  • Keeping track of company memberships and staff qualifications.
  • Supporting social activities within the studio.

In addition, you will also be expected to:

  • Coordinate input to marketing activities from teams across the practice.
  • Develop text and/or documents drafted by others into the required format.
  • Use our filing structure to maintain and backup draft information and completed documents.
  • Work across teams on photography and organising professional images.
Qualifications/Skills
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Critical visual eye with an ability to understand and appreciate architectural images and material.
  • Demonstrable experience of using InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Confident and adept with MS Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to create and develop templates for documents including bids and presentations.
  • Experience with print and digital design processes.
  • Strong creative graphic design skills with the ability to design new graphic materials, as well as develop and communicate graphic styles.
  • Ability to interpret and work within existing brand guidelines and graphic processes, to ensure output is ‘on brand’.
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English with proofreading and copywriting skills.
  • Keen interest in the built environment.
  • Experience using WordPress / managing Websites / using Mailchimp.
  • Knowledge of video editing software such as Adobe Premier Pro and After Effects.
  • Experience in creating engaging social media content.
  • Knowledge of graphic design principles and techniques.
  • Ability to tailor content and messaging to different audiences.
  • Experience with print and digital graphic design.
  • Able to manage and contribute to illustrations including infographics and libraries.
  • Familiar with Open Asset (or similar) Digital Asset Management platform to create high-quality proposals.
  • Able to liaise with external print and digital suppliers and consultants.
  • Experience creating and delivering branded goods and stationery.

  • Able to take verbal briefs and deliver creative outputs.
  • Ability to work with and across teams and work well within a team environment.
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Works to strict deadlines and can manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Comfortable communicating with senior members of staff and sharing knowledge across the practice.
  • Confident communicator – to assist with new starter training and introduction to the BPTW brand, templates, graphics styles and Open Asset.

Salary of between £27,500 and £30,000. Depending on experience.
