Job summary

The Prince of Wales Hospice is seeking a Graphic Designer to join our Marketing and Communications team.As Graphic Designer, you'll be involved in producing high-quality, visually engaging materials that help tell our story, support fundraising, and promote our services making a real difference in the lives of local people. Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, you'll work with colleagues across departments to turn creative briefs into impactful visuals both digital and print.

Main duties of the job

Person Specification
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a graphic design role
  • Experience of working within a busy marketing/communications function
  • Voluntary sector or healthcare experience
Knowledge
  • High level of competence in MS Office applications
  • Extensive application of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Canva
  • Local knowledge of the Hospice's geographical area
Qualifications / Training
  • Educated to at least HND level in Graphic Design
Skills / Abilities
  • Ability to design with a creative flair
  • Ability to communicate confidently and professionally with all levels and internal/external
  • Ability to produce creative, accurate, detailed work to deadlines
  • Ability to effectively juggle competing demands and prioritise workload
  • Car driver with use of own car

  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and the ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build relationships
  • Show empathy with the aims and objectives of the Hospice
