Are you an early-to-mid career Graphic Designer looking for your next step and the opportunity to build your experience within a growing in-house Marketing team?
This role is aimed at a Graphic Designer with around 2–5 years’ professional experience who is ready to take on greater ownership, broaden their portfolio and develop your career within an established brand. It is not intended as a senior-level Graphic Designer position.
As our Marketing team continues to grow, we are creating a brand-new Graphic Designer role at McCarthy & Stone. Working from our Bournemouth Head Office for at least three days a week, you will join an expanding in-house team where you can bring fresh thinking and ideas while continuing to develop your creative and commercial experience.
There is plenty of variety. One day you could be creating assets for an integrated marketing campaign, the next developing digital content, brochures, signage or property marketing. You will work across multiple customer touchpoints, taking briefs from initial idea through to polished, production-ready creative.
You will ideally bring 2–5 years’ experience within an in-house or agency design environment, with a strong portfolio across print and digital and confidence using Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
You will have a great eye for detail and be comfortable balancing multiple briefs and deadlines, collaborating with Marketing colleagues, stakeholders and external partners.
Knowledge of commercial print and artwork preparation will be important. Experience with Digital Asset Management systems, data merge, short‑form video or AI‑assisted creative tools would be a bonus, but is not essential.

What We Are Looking For
This opportunity would particularly suit a Graphic Designer who has built a strong foundation during their first few years in the profession and is now looking for a role where they can broaden their experience, take greater ownership of creative briefs and continue developing within an experienced Marketing team.

Most importantly, you will be looking for an early-to-mid career opportunity where you can develop your skills, build the breadth of your portfolio and make a visible contribution to an established brand.
