Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Graphic Designer, located in Leicester. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating visually compelling graphics, developing and executing graphic design projects, designing logos, and working on branding and typography initiatives. The role involves collaborating with various teams to produce engaging and high-quality visual content that aligns with our brand standards and client needs.
This role would suit an individual who has a background in Fashion, print and graphic design. Experienced use of Photoshop and Illustrator is essential and must be able to work to own initiative but also with a creative team of designers developing Print and Graphics for the high street. A commercial eye is a must for the development of consistently new trends.
Also, you must have the knowledge with being able to deliver products on budget, Extensive market research and comp shops, Keeping up to date with fashion trends including colours and shapes and also developing ranges and attending trade shows.
The Role – Menswear Graphic Designer
To collate, build knowledge and constantly update self of world trends in prints, graphics and all categories.
Design and develop artworks into ranges for trends.
To develop prints & graphics for the design team to utilise on the various collections.
Conduct market research to identify what the latest trends are and external ranges.
Providing advice on initial samples, ensuring manufactured garments match initial design specifications.
Managing and updating print library/archive for in house prints and prints from print studios.
Working with external print sources to solidify the customer print range.
Reacting to sales information and design commercially relevant fashion forward prints.
A highly creative and hands on role, requiring excellent technical skills.
Liaise with design team to understand and fulfil their print & graphic requirements.
Liaise with sales team to understand what is/ what is not selling and adjust designs to accommodate.
CAD work including producing design packs, artworks, graphics and prints.
Liaising with customers on product and design detail.
Research themes and directions for following collections
Create and present trend packs with the team, Mood Boards and forecasts for following seasons.
Skills required.
Great team player
Excellent communication skills based on customer liason.
Experience within a garment graphic design role is essential.
Fashion conscious & A keeness to keep up-to-date with the latest print techniques.
Ability to work under pressure in a very fast paced environment.
At least 18 month graphic print design experience with menswear.
Advanced knowledge of the Adobe creative suite.(Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator)
A high level of CAD is essential (Photoshop/ Illustrator)
Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate confidently at all levels.
Responsible for individuals’ time management.
