A creative gift product company in High Wycombe seeks a Graphic Designer to join their team. The successful candidate will produce compelling designs for various projects—from packaging to social media content—and participate in innovative product development. Our Client
Our client is an exciting and creative gift product company with a small, flexible and friendly team, based in High Wycombe. A growing business, there is opportunity to develop and grow within this team.
The Role
Our Client is seeking a skilled & multi-disciplined creative thinker to join their friendly team, working across a range of tasks from design concepts, art working through development phases to final products.
Working both independently and collaboratively with the sales and design teams, you will be developing visually compelling trend-led designs to meet key deadlines. You will also be getting involved with department and customer presentations, as well as supporting new product development.
Graphic design
Creating and editing designs and artworks for presentation. Prepare and refine artwork to final design for both print and product production in the UK and Far East. Including packaging and branding projects.
Under direction researching trends, designs, and colours. Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for customer and in-house projects.
Create web and social media content. Managing web and lifestyle photography.
Creating & updating product presentations for the companys ranges. Supporting sales with required materials to be used for customer meetings and new product launches.
Product development
Assisting the product development team, product design and specifications and supplier progress collaboration.
Managing of key checkpoints in the product development critical path. Updating critical path with latest status and actions.
Sample library management.
Liaising with our in-house production team to ensure good execution, on time.
The Candidate
To thrive in this role, you will have a passion for graphic design with experience and good knowledge of Photoshop & Illustrator, some familiarity working in categories such as textiles, ceramics or stationery would be a benefit. An interest in gift consumer products is an advantage. Most importantly though, you will be eager to get stuck in with a close-knit creative team and have a positive and fun can-do attitude.
Experience & skills with a demonstratable portfolio showcasing previous work.
Advanced Photoshop & Illustrator skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment.
Sharp attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects meeting deadlines.
A positive hardworking attitude!
The Terms
This role is being offered with hours from 25 per week, up to full time, depending on the requirements of the candidate.
The position is office based, however one day remote working could be considered.
