Job description

Spaceagency is seeking a mid-level Graphic Designer with 3–5 years of professional experience to join our growing team in central London, working on exciting, high-profile international projects.

Spaceagency is a design agency based in London and working globally. Our expertise lies in how people experience spaces. We design people’s journeys through urban, cultural, sporting, event, retail and hospitality environments. Our international client portfolio includes cities, global brands and collaborations with renowned architectural practices. Our projects span public realm wayfinding, future city experience strategies and exhibition design across the Middle East, Asia and the UK.

This is a specialised graphic design role within a collaborative team of designers, architects and urban designers. You will have the opportunity to work across wayfinding, environmental graphics, exhibition design, information design, typography and mapping.

We are looking for a talented, hands-on designer who is passionate about applying graphic design to the built environment. You should have experience developing visual identities, style guidelines, supergraphics, information systems and mapping, with a strong understanding of how graphic communication works within physical spaces.

Working across a range of projects, you will contribute throughout the design process, from client workshops and research through to concept development, design and implementation. You will be comfortable taking ownership of your work while collaborating closely with the wider team. Above all, you care about design quality, have a keen eye for detail and are motivated to develop your skills within a creative, multidisciplinary studio.

This role is suited to a designer with a solid foundation of professional experience who is ready to take the next step in their career, build on their existing skills and contribute meaningfully to ambitious international projects.

The people we seek
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and a willingness to take initiative.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability when working across different projects and changing priorities.
  • A strong work ethic, a sense of responsibility and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Curiosity, creativity and an eagerness to learn and develop professionally.
Technical qualifications and role requirements
  • A degree in Visual Communication, Graphic Design or a related design discipline.
  • 3-5 years of professional graphic design experience, ideally within a design studio or multidisciplinary environment.
  • Excellent skills in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating professional graphic design experience, including visual communication applied to the built environment.
  • Experience or a strong interest in wayfinding, environmental graphics, information design, typography and mapping.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging visual communication.
  • An understanding of spatial design and the relationship between graphics, architecture and the user experience is an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and availability to work full-time in our central London studio.

This is a great opportunity to join a growing, creative studio and contribute to a diverse range of international projects while continuing to develop your design skills and professional experience.
