Job summary

Notting Hill Genesis is seeking a Graphic and Multimedia Officer to join our Corporate Affairs team. You’ll create visual and multimedia content—from design to photography and video—that supports our communications, brand, and objectives across the housing sector.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Brand and Communications, you’ll collaborate with teams to deliver creative content for residents, colleagues, partners and stakeholders, while developing your skills in a fast-paced in-house

Qualifications

• Experience in graphic design, multimedia, communications or marketing roles.
• Experience creating visual content for digital and print channels.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Basic photography, videography and video editing skills with willingness to develop.
• Understanding of branding and visual consistency.
• Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design principles.
• Familiarity with CMS platforms and social/email marketing tools.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Collaborative mindset and openness to feedback.
• Degree, HND, apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in graphic design or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of graphic design, photography and video projects across communications channels.
• Create and update branded materials including newsletters, presentations, leaflets and social graphics.
• Assist with photography and video production from planning to editing.
• Interpret briefs and deliver content that meets objectives and timelines.

Job description

Notting Hill Genesis (NHG) is looking for a Graphic and Multimedia Officer to join our Corporate Affairs team and help bring our story to life. As a Graphic and Multimedia Officer, you'll create engaging visual and multimedia content from graphic design and photography to video and digital assets that supports our communications, brand and business objectives across the housing sector. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Brand and Communications, you'll work alongside colleagues across Corporate Affairs to produce creative content that informs and engages our residents, colleagues, partners and stakeholders. This is a great opportunity for a Graphic and Multimedia Officer looking to develop their creative and digital skills in a fast-paced, in-house communications environment, helping to showcase NHG's social purpose within the housing sector.

How you'll do it

• Support the delivery of graphic design, photography and video projects across a range of communication channels.
• Create and update branded materials including newsletters, presentations, leaflets, posters, social media graphics and templates.
• Assist with photography and video production, including planning, filming, editing and content preparation.
• Work with colleagues to interpret creative briefs and deliver content that meets agreed objectives and timelines.
• Ensure all materials are consistent with NHG's brand guidelines and accessibility requirements.
• Support the maintenance of NHG's digital asset libraries and help coordinate external suppliers, such as printers and photographers, where required. Pending confirmation of legislative changes, this role may require a qualification to demonstrate competence. If not already qualified, there may be an expectation to study towards a professional qualification.

Essential:

• Some experience in a graphic design, multimedia, communications or marketing role, gained through employment, apprenticeship, placement, voluntary work or freelance projects.
• Experience creating visual content for digital and print channels.
• Good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications, particularly InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Basic photography, videography and video editing skills, with a willingness to continue developing these capabilities.
• Understanding of branding principles and the importance of maintaining visual consistency.
• Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design principles.
• Familiarity with content management systems, social media platforms or email marketing tools.
• Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with colleagues across the organisation.
• Confidence in learning new technologies and digital tools.
• A proactive attitude, curiosity and willingness to learn from feedback and experience.
• A degree, HND, apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in graphic design, digital media, multimedia or a related discipline, or relevant practical experience.

Desirable:

• Experience using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects or similar video editing software.
• Experience of creating content for social media and internal communications channels.
• Knowledge of HTML and CMS platforms.
• Experience working with photography and digital asset management systems.
• Understanding of the housing, public sector or not-for-profit environment.
