Job summary

Square One Resources is seeking a Graph Database Expert with strong Neo4j and Azure expertise to help build enterprise knowledge graphs and AI-powered solutions. You will design graph data models, develop Cypher queries, and optimise multi-hop retrieval while integrating graph data with Azure AI services.

The role focuses on node and relationship modelling, property and vector indexing for fast queries, and Python-based data ingestion and processing.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with Neo4j and Cypher.
• Expertise in graph data modelling, ontology design and relationship mapping.
• Experience with Graph Data Science, vector search and multi-hop querying.
• Strong Python development skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure data and AI services.
• Knowledge of graph database performance tuning, indexing and retrieval optimisation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain graph data models, including nodes, relationships, schemas and data-quality rules.
• Build and optimise Cypher queries, multi-hop traversals and graph-based retrieval solutions.
• Implement property, full-text and vector indexing to improve query performance and retrieval accuracy.
• Transform structured and unstructured data into entities, relationships and knowledge graphs.
• Support GraphRAG and knowledge graph solutions for enterprise AI applications.
• Integrate Neo4j with Azure AI Search, Azure OpenAI and other Azure data services.
• Use Python to support data ingestion, transformation and graph processing.
• Monitor and troubleshoot performance, ensuring scalable and efficient graph database operations.

Graph Database Expert - Neo4j/Azure

Location: UK Remote
Contract: 6 months
Rate: £#removed# Daily Rate, Inside IR35

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Graph Database Expert with strong Neo4j and Azure expertise to support the development of enterprise knowledge graphs and graph-powered AI solutions.

You will focus on graph data modelling, Cypher query development, retrieval optimisation and integrating graph databases with modern AI and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities
