Job summary

ShelterBox is seeking a Grants Development Manager to secure and diversify income from trusts, foundations and other funders. The role can be remote (UK only) or hybrid from our Truro HQ, with UK travel as needed.

You will translate complex programme data into compelling proposals and reports, and manage deadlines across teams to grow funded impact. Join a mission-driven team, work with Programme Delivery, Finance and Brand & Content, and shape funding strategies to support ShelterBox's

Qualifications

Experience developing high-quality funding applications and reports for trusts, foundations and other funders.
Ability to translate complex programme information into persuasive funding proposals.
Strong project management and exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Develop, write and submit high-quality grant applications, proposals, concept notes, reports and cases for support for trusts, foundations and other grant-making organisations, that bring ShelterBox's work to life and inspire funders to invest in our mission – ensuring all submissions are compelling, evidence-based and tailored to funder priorities.
Work closely with across teams to gather information, develop budgets and create compelling funding propositions aligned to donor priorities.
Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of grant opportunities through proactive prospect research, funder analysis and relationship mapping.
Work with senior management to shape and deliver grant funding strategies that support long-term income growth.
Take ownership of key deadlines, ensuring applications, reports and other donor deliverables are effectively planned and submitted on time.
Oversee a portfolio of Trusts & Foundations grant management and data processes, including CRM records and KPI dashboards.
Support development of organisational case for support materials and proposal templates.
Provide occasional support to donor events and other team initiatives as required.
Identify trends and opportunities within the trusts and foundations funding landscape to shape high-level funding approaches.
Work towards agreed income targets and manage the Trusts & Foundations budget.
Keep up to date on developments in international development with focus on disaster response and shelter sectors.
Undertake other reasonable duties as may be required.
