FarmWell is seeking a Grain Trader to join a family-run business with a structured succession plan and long-term career prospects. You will gain hands-on experience in buying and selling grain, negotiating contracts and expanding trading opportunities while supporting the sale of agricultural inputs.

The role combines office work with regular farm visits and attendance at agricultural events, emphasizing strong customer relationships and market awareness.

Qualifications

• This role requires strong communication and relationship-building with growers and customers.
• Commercial acumen with solid negotiation skills is essential.
• High level of organisation and attention to detail is expected.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with growers, merchants and customers through visits and communication.
• Buy and sell grain, negotiate contracts and identify trading opportunities.
• Monitor grain markets, weather, crop conditions and industry trends.
• Identify new business opportunities and contribute to trading growth.
• Coordinate grain collections and deliveries with customers and internal teams.
• Support the sale of agricultural inputs such as fertiliser.
