Grain Accounting Specialist – Lincoln, NE

This is a full-time, non-exempt position.

MAIN FUNCTION:

This individual will report to the Office Supervisor and be part of the commercial merchandising team at the location. The Grain Accounting Specialist will be proficient in multiple systems within the major areas of Clerical functions, Grain Settlements, Meal Transactions, and Plant Operations. Clerical duties are standardized. The role also includes routine clerical functions such as filing, answering phones, distributing materials, and record retention, with cross-training in other functions.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK PERFORMED:
  • Generate and maintain Vendor Accounts
  • Verify Lien Holders
  • Process Corn & Soybean Settlements (truck and rail)
  • Address and resolve vendor issues promptly
  • Perform general clerical functions including document scanning and filing
  • Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 2+ years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident and courteous manner
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Clear hearing and speaking abilities; reading and comprehension skills
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods, heavy phone use, standing, bending, kneeling
  • Office hours are 7:30-4:30; some overtime may be required.
