Job summary

Graham Academy in London invites applications for a Graduate Land Surveyor to develop technical surveying skills across live civil engineering projects. You will support the surveying team with surveys, data collection and analysis, contributing to accurate land, building and infrastructure information.

This role is ideal for a recent graduate in Land Surveying or related fields, offering exposure to GPS, Total Stations, laser scanning, drones, and AutoCAD for drawings and reports.

Qualifications

  • Qualified to HND or Degree level in Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills.
  • Right to work in UK and Ireland.
  • Full Driving Licence.
  • An appreciation of Health & Safety practices.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Previous work experience specifically in the Construction Industry.
  • Able to demonstrate problem solving.
  • Commercial awareness with client focus and team leadership.
  • Effective written communication and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with topographical and site surveys.
  • Support the collection and processing of survey data.
  • Learn to use surveying equipment including GPS, Total Stations, laser scanners and drones.

  • Interpret survey information from maps, drawings and site plans.

  • Learn GIS and digital mapping systems used in construction projects.

Land Surveying is the science of measuring and mapping the physical environment. As a Graduate Land Surveyor, you will develop your technical knowledge and practical surveying skills while working on a range of live construction and civil engineering projects.

You will support the surveying team in carrying out surveys, collecting and analysing data, and delivering accurate information relating to land, buildings and infrastructure projects. The data gathered helps inform engineering, construction, mapping and land development activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely and accurately.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate in Land Surveying, or a related discipline, to begin your career within a leading construction and civil engineering business. Working alongside experienced professionals, you will gain exposure to a variety of surveying techniques, technologies and projects, while building the skills and experience needed to progress your career as a Land Surveyor.

A Land Surveyor Shall:

Requirements
