Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE

As part of my client’s ongoing expansion and confirmed future workload, they have identified the need to recruit a permanent Graduate Remediation Engineer to assist with the technical delivery of remediation and enabling projects.

As a Graduate Remediation Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting with the production of remediation strategies, materials management plans, method statements and risk assessments; monitoring environmental emissions; supervising site activities such as excavations; setting up and maintaining soil and water treatment systems; carrying out verification contamination sampling; arranging laboratory and site geotechnical / earthworks testing; ensuring site records are up to date and overseeing and tracking material movements to name just a few duties.

Requirements
  • Degree qualified in a related discipline (civil engineering, environmental science or geology).
  • Some knowledge of soil and groundwater sampling, remediation approaches and earthworks is desirable, although full training will be provided as required.
  • A valid driving license is essential as the role will involve a reasonable amount of travel to projects throughout the South East and may require you to work away from home (full subsistence will be covered).
